As I make my way through the clouds, I can’t help but think of the perception of time. How come the small animation of the plane is almost not moving at all on the big blue planet but I am moving through life at exactly 911 kilometres an hour?

How much is a day in comparison to a lifetime? How much is an hour in your week? The immeasurable pendulum of time keeps swinging. That is also the exact same reason why I am writing this review now. It is Sunday and I hope you enjoy another leftover takeout from Papa Shanghai.

The week that has passed went by as fast as the plane I am sitting in. But I am wondering, how much is time worth when you are living day to day? How much is an hour worth if you don’t know how you can put food on your table the next day? Is time encouraging then? Depressing? Is it master or slave? Are you able to control it?

One thing I have noticed is that, mostly, time gets more slowly when you constantly observe it. Maybe time is a shy mistress, one whose powers you cannot estimate. Always there, always watching. Surely, powerful but also a victim to our judgement. So why not become friends with time? You want to know how?

Maybe look away for a while. Don’t notice time and see what time will do for you. As any obscure mistress, she might treat you just right. But don’t take my word for it. I am just an observer of things myself.
